Firstly, apologies, I fell into a reading slump which then, of course, affected my updates.

Since then, I have come out of the slump and successfully completed my reading challenge. So far, this year I have read 56 new books, and reread another 5. It’s a healthy mix of manga, graphic novels and novels. Which I always like to do.

I’ve managed to branch out and read more books that I probably wouldn’t have tried as well. In all honesty, the lockdown helped, I had to branch out and read different mangas and books that were bought for my boyfriend, but in doing this I have found some great new series for me to read.

Well, that’s it for my small update, I’ll try and post more regularly.

With the turn of the new year comes the end of challenges during 2019.

For the past two years, I have competed in the Goodreads reading challenge and both times, I have successfully completed them. This year will be not different!

As usual I plan to read 52 books. This has always been a manageable goal for me which I find pretty easy to complete. So, I’ve decided to do things a little different this reading challenge.

Of course, the reading material will remain the same: books, e-books, audiobooks, graphic novels and manga. The difference between this year and the last two is how I will monitor my reading challenge. The only books that will contribute to my challenge are new books, the books on my shelves that I have never read before.

And so, with the new year and decade beginning, I look forward to facing my new conditions of my challenge and to see how it affects my reading challenge.
